The material picker is responsible for the prompt and accurate selection and delivery of materials to the requesting department. This position is responsible for inventory material handling. This position is for our afternoon shift – 2:00 pm to 12:30 am, Monday to Thursday.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Read work orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to requesting department or too other designated areas.

The ideal candidate has experience in Industrial or Mechanical Sales.

Reporting to the Regional Sales Office’s Business Development Manager, the Sales Rep is responsible for working closely within the Sales Team to define customer expectations and manage relationships while taking responsibility for sales growth and profitability within the territory. The successful candidate will have a keen enthusiasm for developing new markets, new customers and new product opportunities. Fundamental to success will be the approach to customer service, ethics, value-added salesmanship and the ability to learn and apply the technical aspects of our products. A natural mechanical aptitude and understanding of various manufacturing processes will be used to guide interaction with customers.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Sell solutions – Foster relationships with current and potential customers, and present best fit solutions that solve customer’s challenges and improve their productivity and profits.
  • Work with vendors and internal stakeholder to ensure product knowledge is up to date.
  • Use up to date product/application knowledge to recommend appropriate solutions for any given application.
  • Determine customer requirements and expectations, present solutions to decision makers, and develop the relationship towards closing the sale.
  • Assist in creating RFP responses.
  • Ensure follow-up by passing leads to Inside Sales with calls-to-action, dates, complete profile information, sources, etc.

  • 5+ years of industrial sales experience

Redwood Plastics and Rubber is seeking a Swing Shift CNC Operator to join our growing team in Woodland, WA.  Redwood Swing Shift  is a 4 days per week and 10 hrs per day (Mon – Thur 3:00pm to 1:30am) schedule.

Primary responsibilities include reading and analyzing blueprints, reading G-Code, machining plastics and steel, communicating material and/or program needs, and executing quality control. Focus should be placed on collaborating with supervisors, management, and other team members to achieve company goals and KPI’s. As a CNC Operator, your actions will directly impact manufacturing and therefore the success of our team and the company.

Redwood Plastics and Rubber is seeking a Shipper to join our warehousing team. This position is responsible for shipping, receiving and other tasks related to the transportation and handling of goods.

 Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ship product to customers domestically and internationally. Shipment quantities vary day by day based on productions capacity.
  • Coordinate carriers for inbound and outbound freight.
  • Deal with imports and exports shipped to and from the company; work with customs officials to ensure compliance.
  • Work with the warehousing team to minimize shortages and improve inventory holdings.
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
  • Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking of shipped and received product.
  • Ensure that shipments contain proper documentation and if multiple items per shipment, ensure item lists are complete.
  • Track shipments and verify receipts of shipments as required.

POSITION SUMMARY

Due to growth at our Vancouver Head Office we are adding to our leadership team. We’re looking for the best and brightest to take our Warehouse department to the next level.

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating and executing the day-to-day activities of all Warehouse activities and leading the team of 4 – 6 employees in the following work areas: Picking, Packing, Receiving, Shipping, Returns, Inventory Control and Documentation.

The Warehouse, is a fast-paced environment that sees over 1,000 unique orders shipped directly and via intercompany transfer per month. It includes managing care and control over $3m worth of inventory in both stock shapes and finished parts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages department budget spending to target goals.
  • Responsible to ensure over 1,000 orders per month are shipped both directly to customers and to our other North American divisions with 100% accuracy
  • Managing physical control of $3M+ inventory that includes over 2,000 stock items with the expectation that it is accurately tracked
  • Works with all other departments including manufacturing, operations, purchasing, sales, to ensure our customer expectations are being met.
  • Responsible for contributing to and executing on the department operational plan.
  • Freight Scheduling and Logistics including parcel, LTL, Container Shipments, receiving, restock, inter-company transfers).
  • Asset management including safety, maintenance scheduling, training and safe operation of Forklifts, Pickers and other equipment within department.
  • Responsible and Accountable for the physical management, receipt, movement, storage, and cycle counting of all distribution inventory and warehouse stock including pick-and pack activities and FIFO activities.
  • Monitor, Collect, Report and Manage Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) that ensure the objectives of the department are being met.
  • Accountable and Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and well-organized yard, including all yard activities such as truck-access, truck staging, loading & unloading and product staging.
  • Coordinating and organizing the flow of incoming and outgoing materials.

Two New Technical Sales Reps Join The Squad!

Redwood Plastics and Rubber is pleased to welcome Mathew Robinson and Todd McKenzie to our sales team!

Mathew has joined our Spokane, WA Regional Sales Office in a Technical Inside Sales role. He has a large breadth of experience including in aviation, mining equipment, the automotive industry, and the lumber industry. He really enjoys talking and working with people and solving problems. He’s been married to his wife Anna for 10 years and they have both a daughter and son. On his leisure time he enjoys the outdoors, hikes, working on cars, and outdoor movies. Todd  has joined our Edmonton location as their first satellite rep. He will travel to central and eastern Canada selling our products along other complementary lines. He has a 20 year old daughter and a 17 year old son and will be celebrating 28 years of marriage with his wife shortly. In his free time fishing is his first passion, followed by hockey and hunting.
